Since its inauguration in 1933, the Bollaert-Delelis stadium, located in Lens, looks back on a rich sport history. With an initial capacity of 12,000 seats, the stadium has evolved over the decades to now accommodate nearly 38,000 visitors, making it one of the most emblematic stadiums in France. The stadium has also undergone several renovations, the most recent aimed at modernizing its facilities and improving the fan experience while meeting the highest standards of safety and comfort.

As part of this modernization, a specific technical installation was carried out to improve the sound system, with focus on acoustic performance and compliance with safety standards. Key elements:

• 1 SX-2000SM system manager for centralized supervision,

• 2 SX-2100AI audio matrices and 5 SX-2100AO matrices dedicated to the management of incoming and outgoing signals,

• Amplifiers specifically selected for their performance, including 3 VP-3154, 5 VP-3304, 1 VP-3504, 1 VP-2064, and 1 VP-2122,

• The sound installation uses a wide range of loudspeakers, including CS-154BS and CS-64BS for general broadcast, BS-1015BSB and F-1300BTWP EB-Q loudspeakers for exterior areas, as well as PC-2369EN and SC-630M EBQ for homogeneous coverage of the stadium.

• 20 Nexo clusters, integrating 96 Géo S-12 speakers, were installed to offer exceptional sound quality, suitable for large crowds and major sporting events.

This technical update of the Bollaert-Delelis Stadium guarantees a first-rate hearing experience for the audience while ensuring their safety thanks to compliance with EN 54 standards of the installed equipment. This modernization demonstrates TOAs commitment to providing professional sound solutions adapted to the specific challenges of large sports infrastructures.
